Civica to supply IT solutions through OGC ‘Catalist’ Framework Agreement
Software and services specialist is awarded Framework Agreement as an accredited supplier to the public sector
4 May 2006, London … Civica plc, one of the UK’s most experienced providers of consulting, software and managed services to the public sector, has won the right to supply IT solutions to the public sector under OGCbuying.solutions’ Catalist Framework Agreement for specialist solutions.

The specialist solutions framework agreement – marketed under the Catalist brand - provides UK public sector customers with pre-assessed suppliers across a range of solutions and services.

Civica is an existing supplier of software under the current scheme, with a strong track record. In a 5-year agreement, the award will enable the group to provide its complete range of consulting, software and managed services through the framework to the public sector, including central and local government authorities, police, health and education bodies.

The category caters for solution identification, design and development, integration, data take-on, migration, staff training, security, maintenance and support, including managed services, for a range of business and specialist applications.

Framework Agreements, compliant with new procurement regulations, provide public bodies with an easy and cost effective way of buying IT goods and services through a catalogue approach instead of going through the lengthier tendering process. Used appropriately, this can save customers considerable time and effort since accredited suppliers have already agreed to standard terms and conditions of the agreement.
