Kent Police
In the last twelve months the collaboration between Kent Police and Kent County Council has seen investment of around £600k to put ANPR technology at strategic locations across the county. The solutions provide journey time measurements, identification of target vehicles for intercept teams and collects in excess of 1 million vehicle sightings per day for review by intelligence analysts.
Metropolitan Police Service
The Metropolitan Police Service has increased their investment in Civica technology to extend the LYNX SRG gateway to provide access to PNC for their mobile data deployment. The mobile data contract was won by Detica and their partners Arqiva earlier in the year and has the capability to deploy on PDAs, laptops, and in-vehicle platforms.
West Mercia Constabulary
The West Mercia Constabulary has selected Civica to deliver static ANPR solutions at 25+ strategic locations across the force area. The first eight of these sites are now well advanced and will be operational within the year.
Merseyside Police
Merseyside Police has improved the efficiency of its procurement processes by adding the e-Procurement module to their Civica Financials solution. Conservative estimates of the savings being made by the reduction of paper based processes and the use of intelligent scanning facilities are around £60,000 per annum.
West Midlands Police
West Midlands Police has now taken delivery of version 3.0 of LYNX SRG Auditor Module. This solution can be set to automatically request further information to record the context of requests for access to sensitive information and enforce supervisory follow up using a simple workflow model. This development has been completed with assistance from West Midlands Police, Dyfed Powys Police and with review by the HMIC.
