Civica has secured a contract with Local Buy, the Local Government Association of Queensland’s procurement services company, that will allow Councils to streamline the procurement of Civica’s software applications and services.
Civica’s appointment relates to the new Local Buy arrangement for the Provision of Council Business Systems, Contract number BUS 194-1109.
“The Contract enables Councils wishing to procure Civica's Authority local government software, to buy directly from Civica without going to tender or obtaining quotes, as would otherwise be required by the Queensland Local Government Act,” Civica’s Managing Director, Colin Lillywhite said.
“The contract appointment recognises our commitment to the local government industry and the continued development of the Authority enterprise application for local government.”
Under the Local Buy contract arrangement, Councils will benefit from greatly reduced procurement costs and substantially shorter procurement timeframes. Other Council benefits include agreed terms and conditions of contract, the ability to select from a register of pre-qualified suppliers (RQPS), and the ability to work directly with a preferred supplier without further tender or quotation processes.
